Learn more about our innovative programs for English learners:

Moving On To Work is a 14 week program focused on teaching you industry specific language skills for either the manufacturing or construction industry.

You will:

  • Build confidence with the English language
  • Get practical training
  • Become familiar with the Canadian work environment
  • Obtain Canadian work experience
  • Receive help to secure a job

Graduates of the program will receive the following certificates employers require:

  1. Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
  2. Standard CPR and First Aid
  3. Basic Fall Protection
  4. Forklift truck operator and Propane exchange license
  5. WHMIS

The program is run in partnership with the Centre for Lifelong Learning and is funded by the Government of Canada through Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Language That Works is a community-based language learning program that will help you to move out of the classroom into the community with the necessary knowledge of the language and culture.

The program provides:

  • Daily language practice in the community
  • A personalized learning plan
  • One-on-one language coaching
  • A language support network
  • Small group instruction

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Test Preparation Course offers you the chance to improve your English language skills and develop and practice test taking strategies.

Course length: 8 weeks

Classes: 2 per week, 3 hours each

Cost: $440, plus $80 for materials

Location: 1295 Highbury Ave., Unit 7, London (our North East site)
