Our Training programs offer:
Light Industrial Training is an 8 week program providing individuals with the essential skills and certificates to succeed in the warehouse and manufacturing industry.
Participants in this program learn about warehouse equipment, quality assurance, statistical process control, lockout procedures, injury reporting, shipping and receiving, and occupational health and safety.
Graduates will receive a Forklift Operator's certificate and a Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate.
Property Maintenance Training is an 8 week program dedicated to preparing participants to work in the cleaning industry. Graduates will learn the critical skills that employers require for custodial, housekeeping and other cleaning positions.
Participants in this program learn about Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), infection control, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, lock out/tag out procedures, and occupational health and safety. You will also learn how to clean and care for restaurants, restrooms, offices, homes and hospitals. Along with these, you will learn how to operate and safely maintain equipment such as autoscrubbers, swing machines and carpet extractors.
Construction Technologies Training is a 9 week program allowing participants to increase their skills with a variety of tools and processes that are required to secure entry-level employment in the construction industry.
Participants in this program learn about construction measurement, blueprint reading, hand tools, power tools, footings and foundations, framing basics, electrical and plumbing basics, drywall installation and finishing, commercial construction and building codes.
Graduates of all Skills Development Training programs will receive the following certifications:
- WHMIS
- First Aid/CPR Training
- Basic Fall Protection
