An Opportunity for Your Organization to Contribute to Our Community
Host a volunteer
If you are a non-profit or a public sector organization, consider hosting one of our Community Placement volunteers. We have connected with many local groups and in the past 5 years we supplied 2,365 volunteers who contributed a total of 209,000 hours of work to organizations in need!
Our Community Placement Coordinator makes the process of getting a volunteer easy. We do an evaluation of their skills and the selection for you. We have a pool of volunteers with a wide range of skills and experience. We will develop a flexible solution to fill the needs in your organization.
The volunteers are able to contribute up to 70 hours per month. Placements can be for a longer term which will give you some stability in your workforce. It will also enable you to focus on your organizational goals and not on continually re-filling a need on your team.
Host a co-op placement
Participants in the Construction, Property Maintenance and Light Industrial Training programs are required to do a 1 week co-op placement. The placement is an integral part of each program and very beneficial to both the program participant and the employer. This is an excellent way to "try out" a potential employee to see if they are a good-fit for your team, while helping them get some valuable work experience at your organization.
Our close working relationship with Pathways has also resulted in their being able to refer qualified candidates to us for consideration.
